Submission Guidelines

18 Rabbit Gallery exhibits contemporary art by professional artists residing in South Florida and Internationally. We welcome submissions from trained artists working in any visual media, including but not limited to: painting, sculpture, installation, printmaking, photography, video, sound and performance. To be considered, submissions MUST include the following information:

•  Résumé detailing education, grants, fellowships, awards, teaching positions, gallery affiliations, major exhibitions and collections.
•  10-20 images of current and available work. We will consider images on CD (no more the 5 megabytes apiece), digital prints, or photographs of your work. Emailed entries are also acceptable as long as the Subject Line reads “Gallery Entry, (Your Name)”.  Due to the structure of our review process, we cannot accept portfolios sent to us in slide form.
Please do not bring original work to the gallery to accompany your portfolio. After the review, we will set up a First Hand Review if we would like to see originals.
•  ID sheet listing medium, size, date, and retail price of each piece. When determining the retail price of your work, keep in mind that 18 Rabbit Gallery retains a 40% commission on all works sold.
•  $25 Fee for the review of your work.  Checks can be made payable to 18 Rabbit Gallery, or you can use PayPal.
•  Self addressed, stamped envelope large enough for the return of your materials if you would like them returned to you.

Slide review meetings are scheduled quarterly.  Mailed submissions should be sent to the attention of Leah Brown.  You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your packet, and we will contact you regarding your status within 2 weeks following the review.   Most exhibitions are curated around a theme and involve several artists, although under certain conditions, an artist might be invited for a solo or duo show.
